SPECKLED STAR.
ALL I AM IS A MAN
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,7,true][atrb=valign,top] | ♠ NAME -- speckledstar ♠ AGE -- sixty-five moons ♠ ORIENTATION -- heterosexual | ♠ CLAN -- riverclan. ♠POSITION -- leader. ♠ GENDER -- tom. |
I WANT THE WORLD IN MY PAWS
♠ PERSONALITY
Even though Speckledstar may look menacing, he's really a nice cat. Well, to his clan mates that is. Every cat is a little biased toward their clan, but Speckledstar might just be a little too biased. Honestly, in his eyes, all the other clans do everything in all the wrong ways. RiverClan is the only clan that actually does anything right, whether it be from training their apprentices, to having kits. He's not shy about saying it either. If their is a border skirmish, he'll hiss out insults if provoked. It's a bad quality, but it shows how loyal he is to his clan. He would never do anything that could potentially hurt his clan, and that is one of the rare moments he actually closes his mouth.
He follows the Warrior Code religiously. He doesn't necessarily look down on other cats for not following it, he just feels that they should take things more seriously. In all honesty, even though he follows the Warrior Code and thinks RiverClan is the best clan out of the four, he doesn't pray to StarClan all that much. He knows that they exist, but that's mostly because of the omens they give the clans and when they gave him his nine lives. Obviously there is one, he just doesn't feel he needs to pray to them, especially in a time where there seems to be a lot going wrong. They all had to leave their homes, but StarClan did not do one thing to stop it. If StarClan was all that, they would have stopped the two-legs before they had started killing all of his clan mates.
Aside from all of that, Speckledstar is an all around nice tom. Of course he can be strict, and even get angry at his clan mates, but in the end he'll try to calmly talk about whatever needs to be said and move on from it. One good quality about Speckledstar is that he doesn't hold grudges, and surprisingly enough, he doesn't hold grudges on other clans. If they do something as little as steal prey from RiverClan, he won't hold it against them for moons and moons at a time. But there are a few things he'll hold a grudge on some cat about. Mostly if it involves deliberately hurting a cat, a kit, or doing some other horrible thing like that. In the Warrior Code it states to never let a kit suffer, even if they're form a different clan. Being that it's in the Warrior Code and against his own morals, Speckledstar probably wouldn't ever be able to forgive a cat for something like that.

♠ APPEARANCE
Speckledstar is a very large, strong-looking tom. For the most part his pelt is a creamy off-white color, with brown spots, and marble and tabby markings. His eyes are very blue, the color of the sky on a very sunny day. Even though his pelt isn't the normal color for a RiverClan cat, he still manages to blend in to his surroundings. Whether it be by rolling in the mud near the river bed, or it's just a cloudy dark, blending his pelt in with the surrounding grayness. Speckledstar is much larger than a lot of his clan mates, and even though, he still always seems to make other cats comfortable. He has an air around him, one that makes others comfortable with being around him. Although, that can change very quickly. When he'd mad, he looks a lot larger than he really is, and can be very menacing.
♠ HISTORY
Why it always ended up your true love was someone you couldn't have, absolutely sucked. Lilypool from RiverClan had met Heronwing from WindClan at a gathering, and right then, she knew they were meant to be together. The first time they met, they had decided they wanted to see each other again, but couldn't wait until the next gathering. They began seeing each other once every quarter-moon, but then decided that wasn't enough, either. Eventually they were seeing each other every night. It was affecting their warrior duties, but they didn't care. All they cared about was seeing each other. After several moons of seeing each other every night, Lilypool found out she was going to be kitting. There was no way she was going to tell anybody in her clan that she had mated with a WindClan tom, so she decided to keep quiet about it. But, now that she was going to have kits, she decided to cut it off with Heronwing, she wouldn't be able to see him much anymore anyways. That night, she saw Heronwing for the very last time, and told him she couldn't see him anymore. She also forgot to mention why, which only made Heronwing think she had found someone in her own clan that was better.
Two moons later, Lilypool had kitted to three kits, two toms and a she-cat. Their names were Speckledkit, Thrushkit, and Ivykit. It was early greenleaf, and all three kits were perfectly healthy; they all would survive to be apprentices. In the nursery, Speckledkit acted as if he was the boss of everybody, always giving orders. No cat ever said anything about it, though. Mostly because he did it nicely and he claimed that he was clan leader; it was only him playing a game. Little did they knew Speckledkit thought he was being dead serious. Even as a small kit he wanted to be clan leader, and he would achieve his goals.
It didn't seem long before Speckledkit, Thrushkit, and Ivykit received their apprentice name. They all received mentors, but Speckledpaw couldn't help but like his mentor the most. Gorsetail was an older tom, close to retiring to the elder's den, but he was an experienced warrior. This would be the way Speckledpaw made it to the top, to show a senior warrior how much he deserved something. In the beginning, Speckledpaw realized how hard all of this was, but that didn't stop him from giving one-hundred and ten percent. Unlike the other apprentices who complained when they were told to clean the elders den or nursery, or even rid the elders of fleas and ticks, he actually didn't mind doing the apprentice jobs. Mostly because he knew it would help his clan out. In the beginning of his apprenticeship, Gorsetail told him that he could help his clan out by doing other things than jut hunting and fighting.
After six long moons of training, Speckledpaw was finally awarded his warrior name: Speckledfoot. Honestly, that was one of his most proud moments, being told that he was good enough to be a warrior of RiverClan. After that, he began to give an extra mile, trying to go on as many patrols as he possibly could, border and hunting. It was draining him greatly, and eventually the deputy noticed and told him he needed to slow down, even said their medicine cat said it wasn't healthy. By then, he was fifteen moons and counting. Speckledfoot started slowing down, still going the extra mile and helping his clan, but not to where it was making him sick with exhaustion.
When Speckledfoot was twenty-five moons, he was given his first apprentice, a young she-cat by the name of Hollypaw. She was feisty and Speckledfoot liked that. She had a spirit, and he knew she would be a great warrior one day. Her training went fine, and Speckledfoot tried to teach her as much as he could while he was still her mentor. Eventually, she became a warrior and was given the name Hollypelt. Speckledfoot was proud of her, mostly because he watched an inexperienced kit turn into a knowledgeable warrior.
Eventually, RiverClan was in need of a new deputy. Speckledfoot was thirty-eight moons by then, and he didn't feel like he would be chosen. There was plenty other more experienced warriors in RiverClan, why would his leader choose him? Well, they did choose him, and that was probably the best moment of Speckledfoot's life. His dreams of being leader were finally coming true.
Eventually, his leader lost his ninth leader, and Speckledfoot stepped up as role of the leader, taking on the name of Speckledstar.

♠ ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE
It had been a long day for Speckledfoot. Gathering patrols as soon as he had emerged from his den, going on the dawn patrol, and even going on a few hunting patrols to help restock the fresh-kill pile were only just some of what the large ThunderClan tom had done that day. He knew that tonight was a gathering, and being that he was the deputy, he would be chosen to go, but he just couldn't help but want to help out in his clan. Speckledfoot had only just recently become the ThunderClan deputy, and he wanted to prove to every cat that he rightfully deserved what had been awarded to him.
There wasn't much to report of the day's events to Pinestar, and Speckledfoot knew that his leader was out in the forest. The sun was close to setting, and the tom knew that his leader would be back any second, announcing the approaching gathering. Taking his only chance to scour the fresh-kill pile that day, he dug out a decent sized mouse, taking it to the edge of the clearing and eating it in famished gulps. About the time he had finished up, he looked up, hearing somecat coming through the gorse tunnel. Taking a deep breath, he recognized his leader's scent and jumped up to his paws, grooming himself quickly.
When Pinestar jumped up on top of the high rock and said the famous words, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather below the High Rock for a Clan meeting," Speckledfoot immediately padded to just below the High Rock, looking up at his leader before settling down at the base of the large rock, looking out over the clan that would be his one day. When Pinestar acknowledged him, the tom nodded his head and watched to see who else was going to be at the gathering. Of course Speckledfoot approved of his leader's decision. It made ThunderClan look strong, but it still left the clan with well trained warriors back at the camp.
When they were readying to leave the camp, Speckledfoot felt a cat brush up against him and murmur to him, "Stay in the back. Make sure no one gets left behind." Speckledfoot nodded to his leader, and following his orders, stayed behind the patrol as they sauntered to where the gathering would be held. The tom couldn't help but admire Pinestar as he led the patrol, looking so sure of himself. Speckledfoot knew that his leader always second-guessed himself, and he tried his best to always help his leader out when he started to doubt himself, but it was difficult at times. To see his leader like this, it warmed his heart. It showed that, eventually, his leader would finally accept himself as leader, and wouldn't need to look at any other cat for helping him with his decisions.
When Pinestar said, "I do not want to hear a single cat speaking ill of ThunderClan. We are strong, and we are doing well," Speckledfoot made a sound of agreement. He dared any other clan to say that ThunderClan wasn't strong. Gathering or not, the tom wasn't scared to shred a cat's ear if they challenged him or his clan.
Finally they were able to go down into the clearing. He only smelled RiverClan and ShadowClan but knew WindClan would be on their way shortly. Weaving through the cats, he nodded in certain cat's direction, murmuring a few short, 'Hello's here and there. Going to the base of the boulder, Speckledfoot positioned himself to where he was looking out over three of the four clans. He felt like this was going to be a good gathering.
